Pakistan Team, Squad against South Africa in Abu Dhabi, UAE - Misbah Test and Afridi T20, ODI Captain

It happens only in Pakistan - Misbah-ul-Haq, a player who is out of team in all format from last 10 months is not only back in team but appointed as test captain of the Pakistan for the home series against South Africa in Abu Dhabi, UAE laer this month. Shahid Afridi retaind as ODI and T2o captain.

Misbah is the fourth test captain of Pakistan this year after Mohammad Yousuf, who was ban after disastrous tour of Australia, Shahid Afridi returned in test for one match as captain, Salman Butt who started well with a win against Australia in England but ban by ICC after spot fixing scandal and now Misbah who has good domestic captaincy experience according to selectors.

Fast bowler Mohammad Sami, spinner Danish Kaneria and opener Taufiq Umar has been recalled in the team while Asad Shafiq has been included in the team for the first time after good show in ODI's in England. Sohail Tanveer is also included in team if he will be fit.

Kamran Akmal is out due to injury and Zulqarnain Haider is back who made fighting 88 runs in his debut and only match against England.

Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by 52 runs in only T20 - Afridi Man of the Match for 50 runs

Twenty20 word Champions Pakistan continues their dominance in the shortest version of the game as the beat Sri Lanka again easily by 52 runs in a day night match at Colombo on 12th August, 2009.

Pakistan made 172 runs thanks to Imran Nazir and captain Shahid Afridi score 40 and 50 runs respectively and then Naved-ul-Hasan and Saeed Ajmal too 3 wickets each to bowled out Sri Lanka on 120 runs in 18.1 overs.
