Sri Lanka won 3rd ODI by 234 runs and Series by 2-1

Sri Lanka registered one of its biggest ODI win as they won 3rd and final ODI by 234 runs on their way to clinch the series by 2-1 at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore on Saturday, 24th January, 2009. Sri Lanka scored 309 and then bundeled out Pakistan on 75 runs.

Sri Lanka won the toss and elcted to bat 1st and started brilliantly as Dilshan scored 137 runs and Jaysuriya and Sangakara scored 45 and 50 runs respectively. Umar Gul took 3 wickets.

In reply, Pakistan reduced to 22/6 and finally all out on 75 runs in 22.5 overs.

Sri Lanka - 309/5 in 50 overs.

Pakistan - 75 all out in 22.5 overs.

Toss -Sri Lanka, who chose to bat first.

Result - Sri Lanka won by 129 runs.
