Pakistan after invited to bat put a competitive total of 288/9 in 50 overs thanks to 66 runs off 65 balls by new comer Umar Akmal well contributed by Kamran Akmal with 45 and Younis with 44 runs.

In reply Sri Lanka chased easily with 21 balls remaining thanks to Mahela Jayawardhane hit a century with 123 runs and put 202 runs 1st wicket partnership with Tharanga who hit 76 runs and Sangakkar hit 37 runs for 289/4 in 46.3 overs.
