Shoib Malik hit a brilliant unbeaten century 106 not out on the 3rd day of third and final test and took Pakistan out of trouble when the reduced 67/4 and put 119 runs for the 5th wicket with Misbah 65 runs, and then 114 unbeaten partnership with Kamran Akmal 60*. They have a great opportunity to win this match with a total of 366 runs lead and 5 wickets in hand and 2 days remaining in this teast,

3rd Test 2nd day Summary:

Danish Kaneria, in his come back match took 5 wickets for 62 runs and helped Pakistan takes 66 runs 1st inning lead as they bowled our Sri Lanka on 233 runs. Only Jayawardhane made half century with 79 runs. Pakistan were 16/1 in the 2nd inning at the stump of day 2 with the total lead of 82 runs.

Third and final test match between Sri Lanka and Pakistan begins from Monday, 20th July, 2009 at Colombo. This will be the last test mach for veteran Sri Lanka fast left-arm bowler Chaminda Vaas as he retiring from test cricket after this match.
